Decorated in the 19th-century burgess style, the apartment is located right above the apartment where Bedřich Smetana was born.

The apartment was created from an apartment where artists Olbram Zoubek, Václav Boštík, Zdeněk Palcr and Stanislav Podhrázský lived while they were reconstructing the sgraffito decorations of the chateau.
