Hotel Histórico

El edificio se conocía inicialmente como "Johnny Johnstons Grog Shop" en 1827. En la década de 1830, el puerto era un destino popular entre balleneros y comerciantes agotados tras pasar un año en alta mar. Sin fuerzas del orden y con abundancia de licor barato, la prostitución era un trabajo lucrativo y popular en el puerto. Golpeado por la escena todo menos ideal, Johnny trató de cambiar no sólo el hotel sino también su entorno. Cambió el nombre del hotel por el de "El Duque de Marlborough", el hombre más rico del mundo, para reintroducir la elegancia y el respeto en el lugar. A lo largo de los años, el edificio sufrió incendios y guerras, pero los propietarios no dejaron de reconstruir sus muros.
