Hotel en Castillo

El castillo y sus terrenos circundantes datan del siglo XVIII. La propiedad cambió de manos muchas veces antes de ser adquirida por George Murray a principios del siglo XIX, quien rebautizó el castillo como Mansfield. La turbulenta historia y el cambio de propietarios no cesaron entonces, ya que el castillo fue vendido una y otra vez, hasta que la familia Fowler llegó a su posesión y lo reformó ampliamente a principios del siglo XX. Durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, el castillo fue utilizado por los militares y después de la guerra se convirtió en hotel, mientras seguía cambiando de propietarios a lo largo de los años.

El castillo de Mansfield se construyó inicialmente en el siglo XVIII y desde entonces ha vivido una historia bastante turbulenta, con constantes ventas y cambios de propietario. Uno de sus propietarios más duraderos fue la familia Fowler, que adquirió el castillo en 1890 hasta poco antes de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. El Sr. Fowler murió en 1930 y la Sra. Fowler en 1938, y siguió viviendo en el castillo hasta su último aliento. Se dice que su fantasma sigue rondando los salones del castillo, mostrando su preocupación por la propiedad y su estado incluso después de su muerte.

The rooms are located into the garden wing of the hotel and are connected to the main castle building by a walkway. There is two standard basis rooms into the castle wing as well.
