We only have one gazebo, so to avoid disappointment please book early, the setup fee, for the lodge guests only is R250.00. (The Self catering units, Bee Eater unit, The Beach cottage, The Sunbird unit and the Forest cottage guests would also have to pay R450 each for the meal plus the R250.00 set up fee.) DINNER ON YOUR OWN VERANDA AT THE SUITE – Lodge suites only We set a romantic table on your suites veranda, enjoy dinner in the privacy of your own room. Room service R150.00 (Lodge suites only) THE FOREST SPA Relax and be pampered in our small spa, treatments can be booked during your stay. Due to covid we only have the 1 therapist at the moment. THE BUSH BATH This is literally a bath set in a private spot in the bush, we provide the bubbles, candles and towels, should you wish to order champagne please do so when booking your bath with nature. Price per bath R190.00 CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING Try your hand at shooting the clays with our 12 gauge shot gun, Price per shot R15.00 a minimum of 25 shots. DUCK TARGET RANGE This is a fun little target range, shot with an air rifle. R50.00 . BIRD WATCHING We have a prolific variety of uncommon species of Birds that can be seen, including a resident pair of Black Eagles. We have a Forest Creek bird check list, which I am sure the avid Birder can add to. Wonderful photographic opportunity’s. STAR GAZING PLATFORM – Relax under the clear night sky and enjoy the Magnificent Constellations, and shooting Stars. HIKING TRAILS One of our unique activities at Forest Creek are the Hiking Trails in the “Cloud Forest” due to the flora and fauna growing in this magical unique environment. The trails are designed for the entire family, and are most suitable for the even not so fit person. Under this canopy of trees and at the edge of the Mountain one feels very small, in comparison to the magical views. The walk to the waterfall is approximately 3 kilometres one way, winding through the forest and criss crossing the stream in several places under the canopy of large indigenous trees. One is likely to hear the baboons barking and spot the odd bush buck or red duiker and see the Cinnamon Doves, Narina Trogon's and Lourie's that frequent the forest,.In the wetter months the ferns, orchids and wild mushrooms offer spectacular opportunities for the more photographic inclined. A tree platform built in a large fig tree above the forest canopy, is an ideal stop for birders or to just relax and enjoy a picnic! Scattered in the forest are remnants of old stone structures some of which are supposedly several thousand years old and are under study at present. The forest is beautiful, friendly and safe. No charge for entering our beautiful forest :) just enjoy.
